Got off from work downtown, and thought I'd drop in for a little afterwork stress relief. The thing is that there seems to be so few people here in the early evening, it's really hit or miss. The few girls there may be sitting together at the bar, chatting and sometimes maybe a little disinterested. A couple others may be seen sitting with a few customers, and taking turns dancing with hardly anyone paying attention to them.
This would work out fine if you can snag someone interesting and monopolize their time - but they'll move on if you don't soon take an LD - even if there's so few guys there. The one interesting aspect of getting in early is seeing the dancers arrive in for work, in street clothes and carrying a bag. You always wonder what their transformation will be once they re-emerge into the club, in their work clothes and stage name.
I did get to hang for a bit with one very confident, dark haired dancer, who says she's from an exotic country that most American's only hear about in stories. I even stood outside with her while she had a smoke - something I'd rarely do, but it was, as I said, SLOW. Anyway, she told me that she was doing massages before dancing, with "happy endings," and seemed to indicate that she'd consider plying her old skills for me privately, if I was interested enough. But I was still not warmed up enough for an LD, and she moved on. I had inquired about a certain, frisky blonde dancer who I had a great time there with on another early, summer evening. But she never came in while I was there and waiting.
