This was my first...
This was my first trip in several years. The club seemed older, and a bit shop worn, (thread-bare carpeting, some broken seats, etc), than I remembered. The preponderance of Asian dancers was no longer there, but the current group of performers were friendly and engaging without being too pushy or obnoxious. The stage is up front, and the dancers circulate through the audience when not dancing, - or being preoccupied on their cell phones.
The club has a laid back atmosphere. The girls will sit next to you, or maybe even on your lap and engage in some conversation. I think the point of this is to persuade you into a private lap dance in the one of the booths. I was surprised to find that there are now 'meters' that must be fed a total of $140 to obtain entrance into the private booths. This does not begin to cover tips, or other charges. Yeow! My cautious nature precluded me from choosing a private session, even though I found the dancers that sat/talked with me to be warm and playful. Some were mildly suggestive of a 'really good time in back', but I felt that it was a soft hustle that would not deliver on expectations.
Overall, the experience was pleasant, but a somewhat milder than I remembered from the past. I might repeat, but I am not in a hurry to do so. I think that extras are much more readily available at the O'farrel Theater several blocks away. Best bet for parking is at the 5th and Mission garage.
