It makes sense that a chain...
It makes sense that a chain strip club would make every effort to replicate what works in one club at other locations, but where Platinum Plus is concerned they seem to repeat some of the worst aspects of their particular brand.
I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to see what the Greenville PP had to offer. Cover was $3, with change given in the infamous $2 bills. I can see how this might make dancers and waitstaff a few extra bucks, but in typically dim club lighting it’s just as likely a dancer won’t notice a bill’s denomination whether it’s a two or a twenty. As with other PP locations singles are available on request, it’s just a pain to have to ask.
Upon entering the main room the scale of this location is admittedly impressive, but the effect was tempered by the severe shortage of both dancers and customers during this stopover. The large stage is set up much like a conventional theater, with the bar running the length of the room to the left and lap dance room off the main floor to the right. Furniture and décor are reasonably upscale but nothing exceptional. Another hallmark of the Platinum chain is keeping their speakers set somewhere between obnoxious and deafening – I can only assume the lack of audience contributed to the reasonable volume during this visit.
