Headed back to the SR and...
Headed back to the SR and what do you know, found a long lost CF now dancing here, looking better than ever. Nothing new or enhanced, just looking toned and happy. Filled me in on why she left Sapphire (same story I’ve heard from multiple dancers…why I left the prior club and this club is so much better. I’m sure I’ll hear the opposite next year.). Prior to the rest of my evening with her, had the pleasure of a couple of other dancers swinging on by, helping me pass the time and enjoying the evening. It might be because conference season is kicking up but I found the dancers friendlier and more wiling to sit for a few minutes before the hard sell. Once again, if you’re a regular (or at least have enough knowledge to act like a regular), you seem to get treated a little less like a wallet. Every now and then I test out being a “new†tourist to confirm.
As a club update, I can confirm that SR is now requiring drinks in the 3-for-$100 room, just like Sapphire’s does. I used to like that SR didn’t require drinks here because quite frankly, their 3-4-$100 room is rather tight. There aren’t big enough tables in some corners to hold 4 drinks, and you’re sharing that table with 2 other stations. I’m talking tiny, round end table size. Since that change, I don’t bother with that room and do the half hours since I’m required to buy drinks anyway and I will have more room to actually enjoy my drinks. Another trend, and might pertain only to credit cards…I noticed a new charge that wasn’t there before—a room fee. Looks like SR is borrowing an annoying practice from Treasures and charging you for the VIP space. I think it was $25 but still, wth? So you’re paying the dancer, the required drinks, your usual tips, and then this fee. Don’t know if it fluctuates based on where you are in the club or whether you pay cash. Anyone have any experience on this please drop me a line.
Tips: If you’re done in the VIP, quit ordering more than the required drinks! I made that mistake this time. Ordered some additional waters post fun as we were getting ready to leave, thinking I’d be charged their usual rate and got charged the VIP rate. Yes, water costs almost $10 out on the floor. In VIP, it’s about $18 a bottle. Also, ask your dancer if you can do your 1/2 hour in the hour room. When the club isn’t too busy or you have a well-connected dancer, usually she can arrange for this. It won’t cost you extra and you’ll have a nicer couch than the 1/2 hour room. The hour room has pods of four-sided, couch areas, with usually one dancer/customer per corner. It’s not super private but hey, it’s the VIP area and you get the benefit of more room with your dancer and nice visuals all around. Also this room has its own bar, so drinks are quick, leaving you more uninterrupted time with your dancer.
