After checking out the other club...
After checking out the other club in the area earlier in my business trip, I made a point to check out the local Deja Vu. I found it to be a much nicer club with a much more relaxing atmosphere. No one was pushing dancer drinks on me every other minute, which was a relief. The club doesn't serve alcohol, with was okay with me, and they don't seem to enforce the "two drink minimum" too closely.
The club doesn't seem as large on the inside as on the outside. I think the private area takes up a good amount of the building. You enter to a counter where you pay the rather steep cover. It's understandable as there are very limited options. They charge what they can get, and they don't make anything on drinks. To the left you enter the main club. You pass a small bar with no one really staffing it. I think a dancer was behind the bar when I was there, with a few others sort of lingering around. Seating is tiered a bit with a single stage on the wall across the room.
I actually visited this club twice. The first time most of the dancers were heavily inked up, which is a real problem for me. One of them was old enough she should have hung it up years ago - she was pushy and a little scarey. I finally had to get rude with her to make her go away. I got a couple of lapdances from one young lady and found them only satisfactory at best. On my second visit I encountered a very sweet young lady who was fairly new to the business - no ink and a real "girl next-door type." But you wouldn't know it from the skills she exhibited on stage. I took her back to the VIP area for a little private one-on-one and left wishing I'd had more time and more money, and probably lucky that I didn't.
