I have to be in Pittsburgh...
I have to be in Pittsburgh every so often for work, and while I enjoy the city, I have to say that the strip clubs are not much to write home about. The words "small and cramped" come to mind. Someone told me that I had to check out Controversy to see the newest and "best" place in town. I will agree that it's not the shoebox that some of the other places are, but I really hope this isn't the best the city has to offer. The place was new, and felt new, and clean, but the crowd seemed a bit rough around the edges. I know Pitt is blue collar, but this was something else. There was tension in the place, like a fight was going to break out at any minute. Personally, I want to focus on the girls, not worry about being attacked from behind. Problem is, I'm not sure how they could fix it. Maybe more security? I honestly don't know if that would help.
Apart from the concern that I might get "got" at any point, the place wasn't entirely awful. The girls were okay, with no standouts but no real beasts. I didn't get any LDs (the girls weren't bad, but none caught my eye), so I can't tell you about the quality, but I was quoted both $20 and $30 per song, so they're in the ballpark of what I expect to pay.
All in all, I can't really tell you to stay away, but I really wouldn't suggest driving out of your way to hit up this place. But if you do, I suggest bringing a crowd with you. Maybe that would lessen the feeling that all hell might break loose.
