I befriended a few girls that...

I befriended a few girls that work here. They were staying in the same hotel as me and we all kind of hit it off. I dropped them off at work one day and decided to head in later that night and visit them. I was not expecting such a run down club when I walked into the door. I've been in a lot of seedy strip clubs before, but never have I been patted down, let alone with such vigor. They door man was taking things out of my pockets to see what everything was....I had to keep a close eye on my things to make sure he didn't palm something.

Anyway, I head into the area, check out the surroundings. One of my friends is on the front stage, so I grab a beer from the front bar. Fast and friendly and well priced drink. I walked into the back area and I see a back bar area. There are girls dancing on both stages, but there is not ONE person at the stage area watching or tipping the girls. The back bar area is full, guys playing on their phones, doing their own thing, pretty much ignoring all the girls as they walk buy. That's kind of odd to me, but after I talked to my friends they said it's very common. They guys come in because they like the idea of hanging out at a strip club...I don't know...maybe it makes them feel tough or important or something. I felt so bad for the girls dancing I went to each one that was on stage and tipped quite heavily. There were no VIP dances given, and in the 3 hours I was there I was the only one that tipped any of the girls. The girls were decent too, 6's to 7's.

Upon further talking to my friend she tells me how nasty the dressing room area is, trash all over, tampon wrappers, things like that. They have wooden stools to sit on, with the top seats kind of lose and nail heads poking up. The fat DJ is an asshole to the girls. If he doesn't like you he keeps you out of the rotation. Just a bizarre club. I witnessed a dancer (doped up on pills I assume) crawling around on the ground looking for something. I asked her what she was looking for, looked up with glazed over eyes, and said "nothing". Keep in mind she is crawling on the ground, using her hands to feel for something in the dark. Just an all around odd experience!
