This club has had it's ups...

This club has had it's ups and downs over the years but I've been visiting, if only sporadically of late, for 25 years. Like many Mass clubs west and south of Boston the strict no-contact policy has been relaxed over the past few years as these clubs try to compete with Providence and some CT clubs. You can definitely have some fun at the Magic Lantern though it was a bit slow during my early evening visit. Cover is still 3 bucks as it has been for the past 20 years. Drink prices are reasonable. Dances are available in two areas. There is a semi-private room at the front of the club where single dances are $20 each. The Champagne room is in the back of the club and is $120 for fifteen minutes. I took a lovely young lady by the name of Rachel back there after some watching her stage set and we had a great time. Girls are a mixed bag-some young, some older, some cute and some with a bit if flab. Not much of an ethnic mix going on at this club. Rachel was a stand-out among the girls working this particular night. Cute, funny and engaging. After our dance I decided to stay and check out a bit of the night shift. Unfortunately, for reasons not totally clear to me, there were no dancers on stage for nearly 30 minutes between about 8:30 and 9pm on a Friday night. Not sure what the reason for this was as there were at least six girls in costume walking around and selling private dances. At any rate, I got tired of waiting and listening to the lame DJ's music so I left.

All in all a nice visit. I will be back when I'm in the area.
