Traveled to Calgary for business and...

Traveled to Calgary for business and visited the Boudoir Rouge. Been to the BR before, as ATF's travel schedule brings her here. Club was a max 20 minute walk from my DT hotel.

I'm not a big fan of Calgary, and now with all the oil wealth there is a "cowtown turning into a boomtown" vibe. How that relates to the BR? Well, the BR is both a strip club and a nightclub and I don't think it quite works, but I applaud the French Maid group for melding something together to be profitable. There is an attempt at a Las Vegas vibe, which falls flat. It's not big enough, and there aren't enough dancers to do a Vegas strip club properly, and the male to female ratio is too high for a true nightclub feel. So the BR is a "tweener".

Dancers have told me its more of a strip club during the day, before the evening crowd comes in, but I wonder how dancers can make money during the day selling private dances to guys returning to the office for afternoon meetings with female colleagues. Oh,"private dances" meaning no touch, from 3 feet away, for $30 for 5 minutes. Hooray......
