I just got into Memphis this...

I just got into Memphis this evening and wanted to check this club out right away. I'm going to be in the area for several weeks, and hope that it will provide me with some after hours relaxation and entertainment. It's a nicer, more upscale club, with a bit higher cover than the last place I was (Dayton, Ohio). And I already knew going in that it was a bikini club. But I assumed the bikinis wouldn't cover quite so much; that they'd be pretty skimpy - g-strings and the like. I was disappointed to see that, at least on my midweek visit, very little was coming off. I'd normally expect that the dancers would all by 10s since they didn't have to get nude, but they were in the 6 to 8 range at best.

The layout is a little odd, with a bar way back at the back. It's far enough from the stage that you really can't watch the show, and at a funny angle that doesn't permit viewing either. I think they're trying to discourage patrons from sitting there so they can get more involved in tipping and meeting the dancers. I first sat at the bar, and didn't observe anyone tipping. But from what I could see at that vantage point, I probably wouldn't have tipped the two dancers I saw while I was drinking my first beer. Also it was a slow weeknight; one of the dancers complained to me that she was having a terrible night, so it may have just been the clientele that night.

I ordered a second drink from their pretty limited beer selection (Bud, Miller, Coors, Killians - no Blue Moon, and Shock Top not working that night), and moved to one of the many tables that surround the main stage, in the middle of the club. The chairs were comfortable, the view was good, and the club is well maintained.
