So I went to the Mardi Gras tonight taking a lady friend looking for a club that might be lady friendly. This lady friend of mine is quite something herself. The first time we went to a club together it was to the Foxy Lady in Providence, it was supposed to be her birthday present to me but one of the girls kissed her on the neck and she seemed to like it, which I thought was pretty interesting. So I thought we'd try it again at Mardi Gras, which is closer to where we live. Unfortunately, not such a great experience this time. Crowded and hot. The only other women guests appeared to be off duty dancers and my friend felt she was out of place, which hadn't been the case at all at Foxy Lady. One dancer did give her a pretty good dance at the bar. But on the whole, I recommend the Foxy Lady a lot more for this sort of thing, the girls are younger (many in college in Providence) and more open to showering affection on another woman or a couple. Mardi Gras also is slightly tougher than the last time I was there. I've heard it's a Mob franchise, I don't know how others feel about this but I don't really like that vibe. Still a solid club for men alone and some really stunning babes, some Broadway dancers from New York on their days off I think.
