The Lucky Devil Lounge has been named one of the top strip clubs in Portland for the past few years and for good reason. In addition to a warm, friendly atmosphere (well-lit, friendly bartenders and staff), the dancers are both highly talented and highly accessible. This is where Elle, who was named Female Sex Worker of the Year in the Portland Mercury (or was it Willamette Week?) a couple years ago, calls home--you'll find her here at least a couple nights per week.

The Lucky Devil is small enough that if you come back more than once or twice (especially on the same night of the week since they tend to keep a pretty similar rotation), you'll be recognized and treated like a regular. Drinks are reasonably priced ($4 - $6 for microbrews and wells; usually there is a $5 drink special) and there is no cover charge. They also have poker here at least a couple nights a week; I'm not a poker guy so I'm not sure what the stakes or competition are like. Also, the kitchen is really top notch (even in a city where most mid- to upscale strip clubs have great menus) and most entrees are priced in the $8 - $10 range. The happy hour menu (both afternoon and late night) is also a great value.

But, you're probably not coming to a strip club mostly for the drinks, the bouncers, the poker or the food. (Well, maybe the poker? Those guys seem to mostly ignore the dancers--weirdos!) You're here for the girls, right? And even though Lucky Devil is a smaller club that usually has a rotation of only 4 - 6 dancers per night (maybe only 3 during some earlier day shifts), almost all of them are guaranteed to be friendly and fun and hotttt. Unlike some other local clubs, Lucky Devil doesn't just specialize in tattooed alt-girls or MILFs or girls with the Playboy look; you'll find a little bit of everything here, although the dancers mostly tend to be athletic and in the early 20s to early 30s age group. And the girls are pros; the ones on any given night probably have worked at the club at least an average of 2-3 years, and usually they've had previous club experience. There are some great pole dancers here, and the (smallish) stage has a load-bearing grid above it, so the more gymnastically-inclined dancers can put on some truly astounding performances as they hang from the ceiling and show you moves and angles you thought only existed in those Kama Sutra books.
