I popped over to Sand's because it looked like a place where I could get some mileage, and wow - definitely seems like at least a bit of mileage is the rule rather than the exception.
You arrive in the club, and you're facing one of those weird wavy-glass walls. Go around the corner, and you're in the club. Straight ahead is a well-lit area with a pool table, and to the right is the stage. The seating around the stage is a bit cramped, but the club isn't huge in the first place - and the attraction to this place certainly isn't the stage shows in the first place. As you face the stage, around the bar and to the left is the VIP dance area, where all the fun happens. Watch the step at the edge of the bar - easy to trip over if you've been imbibing.
They advertise no cover, but it's a two-drink minimum - $10 will get you two glasses of soda. If you don't drink a lot of soda at a club, this is better than most of the Deja Vu style clubs. The bartender MCs between the songs, sometimes, but songs are played off a jukebox - I didn't notice any mixing between the songs, so it should be easy enough to tell when songs end. Music style is up to the girls - they program it into the jukebox themselves.
