This report is based on two separate visits. The first was in late April on a Saturday; the second in early July on a Friday. Both times I was there between 10PM and midnight. The physical layout and condition of the club appears unchanged from previous reviewers descriptions from 3 or 4 years ago.

There is no DJ. The dancers program their music at a podium next to the bar before going to the stage. When finished with their set, most of the dancers disappeared to the dressing room or to the smoking area out back. I would guess that their average age was between 28-35. Each time there were about 5 to 10 customers in the club, many of whom sat at the lottery machines or at the bar.

On my first visit, the first dancer I saw was a very friendly, large breasted lady who said it was her first night working at the club. I would have considered a private dance with her, but when done on stage, she retrieved her drink from the bar and went out to the smoking area not to be seen again. The fourth dancer I saw was a slender, dark haired woman in her late 20's. Not gorgeous, but with an attractive air about her. After I sat at the rack and tipped her, she suggested a private dance. I agreed. As we headed to the private area in the back, she informed me of the rules of the club. No touching of the dancer by the customer, and she made it clear she wasn't bending the rules. However, she insisted I'd be satisfied with the dance. I should have backed out right then and declined, but this was my third unsatisfactory club that night and I thought I'd like to at least get some action before I went back to my hotel. The dance was totally lame; I don't even think she slapped her tits in my face. Mostly just grinding her butt in my crotch, which doesn't do much for an old fart like me. I just paid her the $20 and left.

I would not have returned here, but the following circumstance led me to. I went back to Nicolai Clubhouse in northwest Portland on a Friday night, hoping to find a young dancer who I'd had very good private dances from exactly two weeks before. There were only two dancers on shift this night and not the one I was looking for. I asked the bartender, she checked the roster and said Angel was working that night at Riverside Corral; clear on the other side of town. I drove over and sat through the whole rotation of dancers. Didn't find my lady. The names of those working are never announced; I didn't bother to ask if another "Angel" was among them. The talent level this night was quite a bit below that of my previous visit. Pretty much worn-out, used-up trash. I didn't bother to sit at the rack, nor did hardly anyone else. One gent stood at the bar talking to the bartender (unfriendly older woman) and threw a couple dollars on stage for most of the dancers. Could have been the owner or manager. In the hour and half I was here, no one went for any private dances, nor did I see anyone else do so the first time.

In summary, I can't see any reason why anyone should bother wasting time here. There are several other much better clubs not far away in any direction with better atmosphere, better facilities, and better talent.
