Paid a visit to Bandaid's during a trip to Phoenix. I had heard good things about it so I stopped by. It is a short walk from the Encanto light rail stop through a decent neighborhood. I did not feel uncomfortable even late at night. Was patted down thoroughly upon arrival, and my out-of-state ID was fed through some kind of machine (didn't really appreciate that). The club itself is very narrow; it almost reminded me of a Baltimore Block club. I bought a few $3 Coronas (not my favorite, but cheap) and occupied one of the few open tables. There were lap dances going on everywhere, which was kind of strange. Eventually a girl sat down and explained the system: $10 "table dances" on the main floor or $20 "VIP" dances in a tiny room behind the stage. It didn't really seem like the table dances were particularly great. I hung out for a couple hours and watched the girls. The dancers were largely Hispanic and not particularly attractive. There were also several black girls, who honestly never do anything for me personally. I eventually got a VIP dance from the only white girl there and while pretty good (and much better contact on the floor) it was nothing super spectacular. Bandaid's seemed like an OK club. My one complaint was in the sheer volume of the music. It was extremely loud. Otherwise, this is an alright place. I'd go back again if staying in the area, but my expectations would not be very high.
