This club is definitely going through...
This club is definitely going through a transition. It is not even officially called the Penthouse club anymore (although it is still in the same physical building and has many of the same employees as the former Penthouse club). When I went on a Tuesday afternoon there was no cover and they were giving away free cans of beer (although nonalcoholic drinks such as cokes were $5.00). I hit it off with the hot bartender Britney right away ( and was wishing she was a dancer instead of just the bartender). She mentioned that the club will be emerging soon as the "key club". Apparently they have been giving away free beer for the last couple months to get people in the door. As the other reviewers have noted there is no cover but you must buy a $20.00 wristband in order to (pay again) to get a dance. Dances were $20.00 per song and the dancer was pretty liberal with touching. There were only three dancers on duty and the two that were "3's" approached me right away. I was not interested, and had to seek out the one "7" on duty. Her name was "Torrie" (formerly "Sunshine"). She was open about being 27 and dancing since she was 17 (lied about her age) And that she had already worked at about a dozen Houston area clubs during those 10 years. She was also refreshingly open about her drug and alcohol use (admire her for not trying to hide it or pretend she is clean) .. She was already slurring a bit when I was there around 3pm. She had a great body and nice big brown eyes. I would go back again if Torrie (or Britney) was working, and curious to go back again after they finish their transition to "Key Club".
