Saw the advertisement sign on the drive up to the "rim country" for some camping and fishing. Decided to stop in when I saw the place...even though it was barely 11AM. Nice rustic décor fits Payson's ranching/cowboy image. Had a drink at the bar while a nice young thing warmed up the pole. After a song or two she came down and sat with me at the bar. Small talk revealed the fact that it was the young lady's first time (?)
I volunteered to mentor her through her first half dozen or so dances while the place was empty. We both had a shot of Old Overholt to christen the endeavor. She started out a little wobbly but got the hang of it like a natural. I had a memorable experience despite the early hour. I want to go back when the place busier and see what's what.
This place has a rustic Arizona cowboy feel to it. Not like the high-fallootin Vegas style show clubs.
