I was in New Orleans on business and having visited the bourbon street bars on previous visits and reading the reviews decided to give visions a shot as I had 4 hours to kill before my flight.

I drove a rent a car and it was convenient 15 minute drive from bourbon street. Some earlier reviewers commented on the neighborhood, my feeling is it was safe just older and a blue collar neighborhood. Parking was free, and there was plenty.

The doorman and bartenders were male but friendly and made you feel at home. Drinks were $5 for Heineken which to me was reasonable. The atmosphere of the club was also blue collar and older (except the party room, see below) the girls dance on the bar in rotation which has its plusses (a few bucks and you can get a girls attention) and it's minuses (had to tip a few 3-4s just to get them to go away.
