I was driving cross country and decided to make a tour of clubs in Toledo one late afternoon. In all I visited Kisses, Pure, Scarletts, and The Palms.

Scarlett's was my second stop after a very disappointing stop at Kisses. Sadly, my disappointment was only to continue. At Scarlett's I sat down at the bar to realize there were no girls there. Well, the bar tender was a girl, but that was it. Nothing. Nada. At 5pm. The bartender said nobody had come in yet, but they had been open since noon. There were a couple of older gentleman in trucker hats sitting by themselves at the stage, basically waiting for Godot. I had already ordered a bottle of water before I realized how bad it was here. I know some other reviewers said most of the talent had left for Pure, so I decided to try my luck there.

As for the general info about the club, like Kisses, it was well lit, not too loud, and parking was very easy. The DJ and bartender were both friendly, although the bartender had a pair of glasses behind the bar that she would put on whenever she had to do anything. It was very strange. She didn't want to be seen wearing glasses, but seemed to be too blind to do much without them. After my meeting the cross-eyed girl at Kisses, I was beginning to wonder if poor eyesight was par for the course in Toledo.
