Wow. So I've had some great fun at the Gold Club in the past. My wife and I would visit after having dinner and drinks. The dancers are usually pretty attractive in a porn star sort of way, however, this last Friday we didn't even get a chance to enter. We showed up and I was prepared to pay the inflated cover for me ($10 for me plus additional money if I wanted to go next door), however, they wanted to charge my wife ($10).

So let's get this straight, $20 bucks before we even set foot in the club plus more for each of us to go next door? I protested and the nice lady at the entrance showed obvious dismay (I got the sense that I wasn't the only one complaining) and said she had no idea why management decided to make the change. Completely disappointing. So if we chose to visit the club, we, as a couple are now out close to $40 bucks before any drinks, lap dances, or stage time. This is a serious error on the management's part - this club is not Florida or Vegas, but it's in Hartford near some shitty car dealerships and a porn shop.

We opted out and took a drive down to the Turnpike and went to Centerfolds for a much better experience (and a 7 dollar cover for me and none for the wife).
