Hit the Men's Club in prime...
Hit the Men's Club in prime time, around 11pm on a Saturday night assuming the talent would be exceptional. Was pretty good. The ladies all around were a solid 8, one 9 and one 10 in the house by my standards. The club was posh and well laid out as most Men's Clubs are if you've ever been to one.
I had just finished playing 6 hours of poker and decided to get a bite to eat. $30 for a sparkling water, side of Mac 'N Cheese and some sweet potato fries. Yep - not cheap. But, didn't expect it to be. One of the things I like to do is delay the onslaught of ladies pushing for dances at Men's Clubs. They just assume you're going to want dances from them and they just dive right on you like vultures frequently. I found the same here. I was immediately accosted by two dancers in the front hall entrance having not even gotten into the club yet. They both followed me into the main room, one sitting on my lap as I was given a table because I was going to get something to eat. No less than 5 or 6 times I said I'm going to relax for a bit and get a bite to eat before doing any dance. Both dancers were like, "that's okay, we'll wait for you while you eat". I was like, "are you serious, this could take 45 - 6o minutes, couldn't you be making some money during that time?" They didn't seem to think so. I basically then had to go with the "I'm not ready to get any dances any time soon" sell after that to finally get rid of them.
This is the one thing I don't like about Men's Clubs - the dancer assumption that you don't necessarily want dances from the first girl who hits you up. Or in this case - 2 girls. I don't know what they had in mind, but apparently they were looking for the big close - probably $500 each for an hour of "excellent play" in the champagne room.
