In short, it is a dive, but who doesn’t love a dive. The GC is a very small dingy club at the end of a short ally way. I did not find the location as bad as it sounds and it is the only club in Center City Philly. On street parking and a parking garage around the corner. I visited on a Monday night at 11 PM to closing with colleagues from work (that I will follow up on with a discussion or article) and then again on Wednesday around noon. Monday night the place was packed which means maybe 30-40 customers and 10-15 dancers. The dancer quality is pretty low, with most having some issue (butter face or heavy) that would make me rate them in the 5-6 range, with a couple in the 6-7, many with big enhanced boobs. As others have said, they do a stage dance topless for two songs and then make the rounds for tips, some doing a little mini lap dance to get a few more out of you. The shot girl was giving some fun attention to one of buddies as well, by holding a frozen shot pop in her mouth and putting into his. Despite the dancer quality and run down decorum, everyone seemed to be having a really good time, mostly business people I’m guessing staying at CC hotels, like we were.

Monday I got a dance from a thin Eastern European, 20$ for 4 min in the open lap dance area which has 6 or 8 half booths. I was going to go into the semi-private area for 30$ but it was full or she needed permission or something. Two songs later with good two way contact, nice moves on her part and a good effort to make it seem intimate, I was satisfied for the night. She was pushing for VIP and I suspect there were options available, but as I did not partake so I can’t be sure it wasn’t just SS.

Wednesday afternoon the scene was completely different as there were only 2 other customers and 3-4 dancers. The Corona was cheep though and I got a coupon for a second drink for free. Dancer quality again not too high in the looks department, 5-7 but they were friendly and other than one not too pushy. I had a drink at the bar and chatted with a couple while watching the stage show from time to time, when a decent dancer would bother as there were so few customers. I ended up going back to the lap dance booths with another thin dancer to my liking and did not bother with private as we had the place to our selves. Again used the timer but was not too strict about it. Good two contact again and was willing to push the line using hands and mouth outside of my pants. Not extras, but a good extra effort on her part. One other prop for this dancer, I gave her gave her a 20 and a 50 plus a 10 for a tip for 40 worth of songs, instead of two 40s. Much to my surprise, I realized this when I was in the bathroom tucking in my shirt and double checking my cash. She was waiting outside the bathroom and when I asked her if I gave her a 50 she said yes and that she expect I had made a mistake. Had I not realized it, I’m not sure she would have asked me, but just offering it back upon my on request was impressive for a stripper.
