Jen's Den is a huge contradiction...

Jen's Den is a huge contradiction for me. Whenever I go, I usually leave satisfied, but I also always leave frustrated. Let me elaborate. I've never been able to go to Jen's when I have a lot of time. I'm always just passing through Akron and on a relatively tight schedule, so I can only stop for an hour or less. As others have stated, the place is a dive with more than a few nasties roaming around. There's usually a couple girls that are relatively attractive so of course, I want to talk to them and weight the dance options. Unfortunately, for some reason the better looking girls seem to have very little interest in actually talking to customers. Every single time I go, they just seem to run back and forth from the smoking lounge to the dressing room to the gossip table. In the meantime, the constant barrage of toothless, meth-scarred addicts asking for dances wears me down. This last visit I saw 3 girls I wanted dances with. I couldnt get the attention of them except this one cute redhead that seemed to have a very upbeat personality (Gotta be rare in this part of town). I made eye contact and got a smile while she was talking to someone else and sat nearby, she still went the other way after. I walked by her when she was at the next guy and subtly tapped her elbow. She looked at me, smiled again and I figure she got the hint. Alas, she must've been thick as a brick because 15 minutes and no dances later she abandoned him for the smoking lounge/dressing room circle. I gave up and went in back with a girl I considered a distant 4th best option. Nice dance, nothing terribly naughty but acceptable. She says she loves to break rules, just not in the club. If I lived in Akron or visited even semi-regularly I mightve inquired, but I dont, so I didnt. Leaving the dance room, the redhead was chatting with the bouncer. Oh well, I had already overstayed my visit by 30 minutes longer than I shouldve. I left again, glad I got at least a decent dance out of the trip, but pissed off that I couldn't hook up with anyone I really wanted to.
