Industrial Strip went through a brief rough spot, but it's quickly regaining its form. It always had and still has the best pricing model: Three songs for $60 of high-friction, two-way contact dances. IS will always get my highest mark for monetary value because it offers the most mileage for standard dances in the Chicago area, at a lower price than any other club that comes close. Pressure for dances and tips are low compared with other area clubs.

Many other things are still the same: Dancers get topless but never fully nude on stage; private dances are fully nude with high grindage; there's no booze.

One big change, though, is the turnover among the dancers. Business here started to drop off in the second half of 2012, as Indiana's smoking ban meant Chicago strip clubbers -- who couldn't smoke in our home state since 2008 -- no longer had as much of a reason to drive just across the state line to IS. With fewer patrons came fewer girls on shift, and some of the long-time dancers left.
