I get in every few months...
I get in every few months and I always enjoy my time there. Some of the dancers are regulars, but they're good and I'm happy to see them each time. There's a steady turnover among the rest, so the quality varies a bit, but there's a wide variety, so whatever your "type" is, you'll find at least one to suit your preference.
There's usually a good-sized crowd and it's not unusual to see women in the crowd. You don't see that in a sleazy or dangerous place, so I think it's a good thing. I know some guys don't like female customers in a strip club, but I have no problem with it at all. I'm not there every night, but I've never seen a fight or any problems like that and I feel quite comfortable and safe every time I'm there. The crowd has tended to be 30s and up and predomonintly white (this IS London, Ontario after all) and the DJ has been playing music more appropriate for that demographic. I know the dancers are mostly in their early to mid 20s and probably prefer hip-hop and the latest Top 40 pop, but the paying customers appear to prefer the rock music they grew up with. Kudos to the DJs for realizing that.
It's only happened to me twice and the last time was a year ago, but a couple of dancers were very persistent in trying to get me to buy them a drink. In one case, I was getting ready to leave and I told her so, but she still kept pushing me to buy her a drink. The other was just very pushy about it. In both cases, I refused. I was quite sure they weren't going to order the cheapest drink on the menu and, to be blunt, there was nothing in it for me to buy them drinks. It wasn't going to get me any "extras" or even guarantee that they would sit with me while they drank it -- and to be completely honest, neither of them were my type and I didn't want them to sit and chat with me anyway.
