It's been a while since I...

It's been a while since I made it to the Playhouse, mostly because the last couple times there, the dancers didn't seem like they wanted to be bothered and the ones I did like moved on. Anyway, the radio station I listen to had said they have been doing some renovations, so I had to check it out, in case it was different. I can definitely say the physical appearance of the club is different. While the stage is pretty much the same, they have repainted the inside and they got these light fixtures which look like long dildos hanging from the ceiling. They also have these giant TV screens at the ends of the building. I'm not precisely sure what it's all for, really, but damn, it's a lot brighter in there than it used to be. It used to be dreary looking in there, but now, it's all bright and they have all these colors flashing and the TV is showing this imagery on there which just seems weird to me. Sometimes, you look at the TV and you can see a dancer on the TV who is live at a different stage. It's definitely a different visual experience than before. I must say I've never seen anything like it in any other strip club I went to.

I should also say something about the music selection. They play a lot more dance music, and dance remixes in particular, than they used to. They even played a dance remix of Clapton's "Cocaine". Is that possible? I don't know that I like that, but at least it seems upbeat. The one girl I eventually got a lapdance from liked the changes to the music they play.

As for the dancers, unfortunately, a lot of the dancers there are ones who've been there for years and some of their bad habits persist. Some of them make a beeline to the dressing room upstairs the moment they're done dancing onstage. Some of them will pair up and try to sell double dances, which sucks, because there is one dancer there who seems to only want to do double dances and it seems like it's a different girl every time, which is remarkable. To be fair, some of them are quite popular and I can never get one of them alone to ask for a dance.
