The Oasis Goodtime Emporium puts me...

The Oasis Goodtime Emporium puts me in the mind of an old time saloon. Not in the decor, but sort of the atmosphere. It's a little bigger and brighter than a lot of upscale clubs, with more of a party atmosphere. It's got a very open layout, with lots of tables in the middle of the floor, one stage sort of in the middle and a couple others up against the walls, and a couple of bars. It's the sort of place you'd want to take a bunch of guys to have a good time drinking, smoking (unfortunately) and checking out the ladies. If that's what you're looking for, this is the place.

I was staying in nearby Norcross and working in Atlanta for several weeks and drove by this club every day. No matter what day of the week or what time of day I drove by, the place seemed busy. I got the impression it was open 24 hours a day, and it almost is. It's open about 16 hours a day, from before noon until about 4 AM. I stopped in a couple of times and perhaps because I was sitting by myself I drew little attention from the dancers. Even when I did, I couldn't get too interested in getting a "lap" dance. From what I saw there's very little lap to it - minimal contact. Plus they take place table-side, out in the middle of the well-lit floor. They don't even have chairs or tables around the edge of the floor that afford you a little privacy.

The girls were overall pretty nice looking, ranging from 6s to 9s probably. No one who looked like they shouldn't be on a stage, but no runway models. But even when you're standing at the stage tipping the dancers (because there's no seating up close) they didn't seem to me to be very friendly and attentive. I'm not some mutant or creep. I've enjoyed my time with a lot of dancers in a lot of clubs all over the country. I just felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome here, but a lot of guys seemed to be having a good time. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for in a club.
