The cover was reasonable at $2. The doorman was a pleasant fellow who welcomed us to the establishment with a smile. The club was a bit dark, and the airflow was not good. The furnishings were in need of repair with the cloth seats stained and sporting multiple cigarette burns. The private dance area had a couple of fellows receiving dances...dry humping at its' best. Our drinks were served in plastic cups...yes, fine whiskey was served in what reminded me of a plastic specimen cup. We were all appalled. Our requests to have our drinks served in glass were denied. My pet peeve of having ladies approach me and pander under the guise of asking me if I am tipping did not happen here. In fact, not one lady at all approached us. We dress professionally and are clean. Perhaps cleanliness and non-smoking is a turn-off. Of the three clubs in Lafayette, the ladies in Chances Are on this particular night and the time we visited, the dancers were putting forth effort to dance...not just standing there and walking around the pole. Some of the girls actually took pride in themselves and wore gowns. Kudos for those ladies. The ladies who think they are alluring in their bikinis...are not. And that is for every club. Give us something to watch for when you're on the stage, ladies. It's a fantasy...It's a strip tease. Don't show us til you get on stage. Then, make us tip to see it! Three decades of experience here. Listen to me. Train your tippers. But first, get yourselves in the habit of treating every customer as if they are the best thing since sliced bread and ALWAYS make sure you look your best! You are all beautiful. And stop drinking yourselves into old age. Or you will not stay beautiful. Please!
