ROB Parade
Was in Montego Bay for a wedding and came here the night before the ceremony with the groom and the other groomsmen. The club is located outside of "MoBay" and was in an industrial looking neighborhood. They advertise having the tallest poles and best dancers.
Arrived at the club and was immediately frisked and wanded to make sure nobody had any weapons. Entrance fee was $20USD/person, which seemed really high, but if you are staying at a resort, you soon realize that the locals prey on tourists. Paid the $20 and headed in. Proceeded to the bar and ordered beers, which were around $8 per. Appleton Reserve was at least $10 a glass, which felt like US prices.
The club has an element of local thugs and had it's share of people dressed as if they were in an early 2000's rap video with the matching track suits. The stage was dead center in the club and did feature the tallest poles I have probably seen in a club. They looked to go at least two stories up. If anyone fell from that distance, I don't think they could've survived.
Now to the dancers...most of whom were ROBs and would upsell at every chance. Buddy of mine paid for a few dances for me ($60 ), and off we went to the back. The private dance area was sketchy AF! See through curtains in an interigation setup with a metal folding chair. Since my buddy had already paid for my dances, I thought it was time for me to relax and enjoy, but that wasn't the case. The upsell began before I even sat down...with promises of a great dance. I reluctantly paid $20 thinking she might get naked, which she did, but she only danced for one song and asked if I wanted to continue. I was a little confused because I had thought my friend paid for multiple dances. When she confirmed it was only for one, I left.
I knew she was trying to hustle me. Decided to cut my losses and head back to the group. Later on, she is in an argument with my friend who and she approaches me asking what I told him, accusing me of making up lies. That's when I lost my shit and started yelling at her. After a few minutes of me cussing her out, she left the dance floor to the changing room and was never seen for the remainder of the evening.
The other dancers were just about the same. Wanting you to go back with them, then changing their tune while you're back there. This should go without saying, but the dancers here we're all black, and none of them had any enhancements. At one point, the bar had ran out of beer!!! A quality establishment, I'll say...
My advice, don't bother coming here.
