I have visited the Pony many...

I have visited the Pony many times. It is by far the best club in evansville. Entering is probably the biggest downfall of the pony. I think its $14 and the door girl is usually lame and wants a tip for taking your money(i tell them all to work for their tip and got flashed once). I would recommend sitting slightly off the stage to avoid getting hustled by the girls you dont want to tip. Most of the time a line forms at the end of the stage for tipping anyways. Stand in line, and present $2-3 for special stage treatment, as most of the patrons tip a single.

As for the lap dances, they run what they call "showtime" probably once every half hour. Each girl takes a lap around the stage and asks club goers if they'd like a dance. If you want a specific girl, be a little aggressive and approach them as they come off the stage. The VIP dances are the way to go. 2 songs for $50 or a half hour for $150. I have been able to negotiate on week nights when the club is dead and the girls are desperate to make a buck. The VIP dances are in private rooms that are very dark. The limits of each girl are different in the VIP rooms. They also have couch dances for $25 but this is the worst value.

As for the atmosphere, the biggest draw back is the lack of alcohol. I personally prefer this. It keeps a more chill atmosphere. The pony gives a wristband upon entry and you can exit and re-enter as often as you like. My friends and I usually have a cooler in the car and frequent it throughout the night. The bouncers do patrol the parking lot, so we just sit in the car, pound a few beers and discuss the girls working. The inside of the club is average as far as strip club standards. Disco style lighting and overall pretty dim.
