After trying Centerfolds next door and leaving fairly quickly, I tried Lady Vi's. Another waste of time. There are prettier dancers in Hayward, Trego and other Northwoods clubs than there are in the big city of Superior. The club is quite large-perhaps it was a different place when it opened, and by the look of the club and the building it probably opened sometime around WWII. It looked like there 4 or 5 dancers in the club-about the same number of customers, but there was no one on stage and the dancers were walking aimlessly around the club or sitting at the bar. No dancers with customers and no evidence that they knew there were any customers. After ten minutes of sitting and waiting, I asked the bartender what the plan was for the evening and she told me that they were between dancers. Could have fooled me. I slowly walked around the club checking out the dancers hanging by themselves and decided that there weren't any I was willing to wait for even if they had been friendly, so I left. I wonder what the action was like back in the day when the port was active.
