I had been to Rick's a few time back when it was a Talents West Joint, and I was always mildly impressed with the talent level, but disappointed with the production value, and ambiance. I had high hopes for it with the Vu taking over, and giving it the Dreamgirls moniker. I have been to the one in SODO, and it like a Taj Mahal of Seattle strip clubs. Rick did not let me down, in the production value department. The changes they made were subtle, and improved the club all the way around. The stages have been increased in size, and one of them was moved to the South wall (as opposed to the East wall in old Ricks) and turned into a catwalk style stage with a countersunk fan on the stage floor. Its nearish the pole, so the girls can make thier hair blow around while dancing... super classy. One thing that was pretty surprising is the Vu went away from the $20 VIP dances. Now if you want to go in the "Lap Dance" area its $30. You can still get a $20 dance, but its out on the floor. Lame. Who's going to agree to that? Not I, thats for sure. The girls were pretty hot across the board, ranging from the rare 6, to the average 7.5, and the top of line 8-9. There were probably 20+ on the night I was there, and the room could have supported another 15+. Im sure they are working on that as I type this. Its definatly worth the visit. The DJ is decent. The lighting is nice. The girls weren't overly pushy.
