I was in Evansville on some business today and stopped by The Pony. Not really knowing what to expect, walked in and there is a doorman that takes your money ($8, includes 2 non-alcoholic drinks) and explains a little about the club. Law in Indiana states that you can't serve alcohol if the girls get naked, get two drink coupons that I never used (he didn't explain where to get the drink). He also failed to explain that you need night vision goggles to see anything in there, so who cares if the girl gets naked? Only 2 girls there, by one of which I'm immediately accosted, I tell her I have to find the bathroom, she points me in that direction. Little did I know she was waiting immediately outside the bathroom when I got out. This girl's name is Jasmine, but her "real" name is Candice.

So, I sit down with her in tow and she starts the pitch, asking me if I'm from around there, I explain no, blah, blah, blah. Then she gives me the prices for dances and starts at $300 for an hour, $150 for half hour or $50 for 2 songs. Then she says, "You're not really here for dances, are you?" By that time I'm quite aware I look like a giant dollar sign to her. I really should have left and just sucked it up that I spent $8 to walk in and out of a club. All the while, she is hinting at extras, however I need to commit to at least the $150 for half hour. The problem is, I'm from the Detroit, MI area and I could get everything for $80 if I wanted to there, so why am I spending $150.

So, being charitable, I say yes to $50 for 2 songs which is stupid of me, but oh well. And the whole time she is saying, we can talk about the half hour when we're in there. I'm thinking, if we are talking while in there, you're not doing your job. We have to walk back out to the front doorman, pay him, he gives her $30 out of the $50. All of this process is somewhat foreign to me at this point. We walk back to the little room, and if you think this club is dark, holy shit these little rooms are darker! Door shuts, she locks the door (usually a positive) and I'm in this tiny room with a very average looking blonde under a red light that really is useless and doesn't give much light at all. I may as well have had my eyes closed, not sure it would've made a difference.
