After reading the other reviews it was clear that this is the best club in Guatemala City, so I decided to visit as soon as possible. It is very different from the clubs I am used to in the United States, but overall I had a good time and will return.

I read in a previous review that it is best to arrive by 9:00pm, due to crowding. So I went in just as the place opened at 7:00pm. This turned out to be a mistake. More on that in a moment. At the door there were approximately five guys outside in suits, as well as two uniformed security guards carrying shotguns. Everyone shook my hand as I got out of the cab and made my way through the double doors. Inside, I was briefly frisked, which I expected. Another guy in a suit attempted to collect the cover charge from me, and here is where I ran into some difficulty. This is my first time in Central America, and my Spanish is extremely limited. We eventually determined that the cover was 150Q, or approximately $20. Slightly less than I expected. I paid the cover and was led to a table. I was the first guest inside for the evening. This is where it gets a little strange. There were 20+ waiters inside, wearing white shirts and black bow ties. There were no girls visible anywhere. I ordered a Pepsi from the first waiter to approach me (I don't drink alcohol) and then watched as they all shuffled around the club in a conga line for the next fifteen minutes. Four guys walked around with brooms and dustpans, and continuously swept a perfectly clean floor. The club as a whole was very clean but somewhat shabby.

After a few minutes the guy who took the cover charge approached me and handed me 25Q back. I don't know why but I suspect it was a discount for not ordering alcohol, since the cover includes two drinks. Eventually one of the few guys in suits who spoke a little English approached me and explained that the girls would start dancing at 7:30, only five minutes away. At 7:30 a bunch of the waiters blew whistles and the first girl came out onto stage. To her credit, she was absolutely stunning, an easy 10. A wonderful dancer as well. Only a couple of other guys had shown up at this point so the club was still 90% full of male employees.
