I hate to give a bad...

I hate to give a bad review when I could be focusing on places much better, but I thought it was worth noting my experience. I gave a decent review earlier but it seems that things have changed. It is my understanding that glimmers, shimmers and pitiful princess are sister clubs. So Im not sure if their policies are the same or how it all works. I visited this club a few months ago because of some positive experiences. I had limited money and time and really just wanted to get a private or two and get going.

So I pull up in the parking lot and there is guy standing at the door that wasn't there last time. He did not look or have the same vibe as the older man managing the place (with the flames shirt). This guy had gelled hair and reminded me of a used car sales man. He was talking loudly about how he used to be at the pitiful princess and I said that I always thought that this club was better. He then says "well maybe tonight will change your mind on that". Im like WTF? Do you want me to not like my experience and go to the pitiful princess instead?

So I sit down at the rack trying to quickly figure out who I am going to do the private dance with. And then the new lady bartender asks me what I want and I tell her that I don't need a drink, only have limited time and was looking for a private dance. Well she then goes into telling me how there is a drink minimum and I needed to leave the rack immediately if I did not buy a drink. I tried to explain to her my situation and then the used car sales man with his jersey shore hair cut tells me that I need to buy a drink now or take a hike. I try to explain to him my situation and he said that I could just buy a drink and just leave it on the table and not drink it. I tell him at that point that I will leave because he is just not getting it. I explain to him that this is not the only club in Portland and that I was just going to across the street to Devil's point. He then says that he doesn't want me here anyways.

So perhaps they were in a bad mood that night, although I doubt it because the guy basically seemed like prick on a power trip. But then I thought about what he said about trying to change my mind on liking this club better then the pitiful princess and perhaps he was set on trying to make that happen.

After that I will NEVER go this club again. Especially with two super chill and low pressure clubs next door and down the street.
