I went to the Paper Moon Gentlemens Club in Springfield Virginia Sunday afteroon to kill some time before my flight. I was pleasantly surpised, although my expectations were low given my experiences with Virginia strip clubs. The club was easy to find being only a short distance off the highway. The interior was in good shape as was the furniture. The sound system and the lighting were good. There was a back area for private dances. I counted nine dancers, a sizable number given that it was only 2:00 PM. The quality was fairly high with seven dancers in the 7-9 range and two that I rated as sixes. All of them were trim and good dancers. The dancing was surprisingly erotic--given Virginia's restrictive laws—with good pole work. Each performed danced to two songs and there were no breaks between songs. The songs seemed short, no more that three minutes each. As a result, I was able to watch all nine dancers perform in about an hour. As per Virginia law, the dancers wore pasties. Six of the dancers wore minimal pasties that showed the outline of their nipples, the other two wore more elaborate sequened pasties. Two of the dancers wore bikini bottoms. But six stripped down to fairly revealing thongs, something I have never seen in a Virginia club. The bad news is that the club is pricey. There was five dollar cover--which seems a lot for a Sunday afternoon—and the bears were six dollars. Private dances were expensive. You could get two topless dances for $100, but. You also could get a 10 minute topless session for $150, a 15 minute topless session for $200, and a 30 minute topless session for $350. The sessions all took place out of sight in an area guarded by a bouncer, so I have no idea what kind of mileage patrons were getting.
