To call 1320 a "strip club"...
To call 1320 a "strip club" is really a mistake. It is more of a Go-Go bar. If you understand and expect this before you go in, you'll most likely have a great time. I heard about 1320 and decided to check it out on a whim, on a Friday night at about 10pm after a long day/week at the office. Assuming you can even FIND the place because it's in a random strip mall next to a Post Office & Watch Repair shop in Springfield, when you walk up to the door for the first time, it's certainly not very inviting. But when you get in, you'll find a laid-back/hole-in-the-wall bar atmosphere. This is not upscale by any means, but it is clean and NOT what I call a dive bar! There is no cover charge. High & low circular cocktail tables throughout most of the club, then a 2-sided bar in the back, with stairs up the middle between the bars, leading to the main stage (with seating around it too). Then there's a second stage off to the side. The dancers rotate from the main stage first, then to the side stage.
As for the dancers. And yes, they are definitely DANCERS at 1320 (This is VA so it's a pastie club... bottoms stay on and NO contact)... well maybe I walked in on a good night, but I have to say I was impressed with the looks and especially the attitude of all the girls. Not a single dancer was overweight or otherwise unattractive... the range in my eyes went from 4-5s to a couple 6s and maybe a 7!
The thing I like most about 1320 is this... MINIMAL HUSTLE! The dancers know that the guys mostly want to put a few $6 drinks back, watch them shake it, and reward them with a few $1 bills. After each dancer is done at the side stage, she'll walk around the room to deliver her "thank yous"... collect $1s from the tables as is DC-area custom. I was there for probably 2 hours and I never once got asked to buy a girl a drink or was I pressured to fork over cash. I did decide to try a "private dance" once, at a cost of $20. I'd say this is the only rip-off at 1320. There's 2 lounge seats facing each other in the back of the club with a pole between them. The dancer pretty much dances *near* you, as I said earlier this is NOT a lapdance.
