Early December business travel also brought me to San Francisco. Been over a year since my last time in the city. It was a Friday night so I was hoping for a good time during prime business hours. The Gold Club, conveniently, was located on the same block just a few buildings down from my hotel.

Trudged in around 10PM. $20 cover. Greeted by a friendly host and offered VIP seating upstairs for $10 more, which I declined. Initial impression of the place is that of a clean, high-end, upscale place. Two levels for the main club. VIP seating upstairs overlooking the main floor. VIP boxes also upstairs. Men’s restroom located downstairs in the basement with your usual bathroom troll. Feels a little bit cramped.

Definitely a nice décor, ambiance and vibe, which is in stark contrast to the seedy, dive-y feel of the Crazy Horse Theatre, which I also visited the same night.
