I'm hitting a few clubs in...

I'm hitting a few clubs in Birmingham, Memphis, and either Nashville or Atlanta in the next 3 nights, so I'll start with my Birmingham visit to The Palace on Saturday night/Sunday morning 1/15.

If you read my review on this place last year, you saw that they actually have 2 buildings. A large one for rap concerts, and a small one that resembles a neighborhood bar. Well last night, they were in the small building. And it was packed with about 150 people and about 20 dancers.

Didn't get there until 2:30 am, so the cover charge was a whopping $20. Birmingham Black strip clubs late at night are more like crowded nightclubs with topless dancers shaking it up all over the place, than a gentleman's club in which you can get table and private dances. You're not going to get any lap dances at this time, although I did see a new feature at the club in which VIP was over a closed door. So I guess they now have a makeshift VIP section at this spot when they're not crowded. Didn't see anyone going in there though.
