If you just want to watch cute girls dance around, you're better off at a place like Deja Vu Lake City Way. At the Sands, if it's slow sometimes the dancing will just end while the girls poke at their phones in the dark, and you're staring at an empty stage while random jukebox tracks play, trying not to look at your big head in the mirrors. And even when there is dancing, there's a little dead air between each show, as the ladies pick their next song out of the jukebox, and you can hear all the dumb conversations around you, a bustle of stripper hustle. It's not a party club, or a place to bring your girl, though last time I was there it was a couples-fest, probably an ill-advised "adventure" suggested by the men: all their girlfriends looked quite freaked out. But for lap dances, if you can swing the $40 per dance, the VIP is probably the best in Seattle. I don't want to overpromise, but let's just say, there are possibilities. I've got my favorites (Wednesday, Tiffany, Bailey, etc.), but I can never remember their schedules. So sometimes the Sands is a little boring, and you wait for a favorite who doesn't show up or who has some lovesick guy throwing cash at them all night, but when it's on it's on, and I've never left the Sands unsatisified.
