I was on my way through...

I was on my way through Kansas and decided it was time to take a little break before continuing on down the road to southern OK for the evening. I had been to Michelle's a few times in years past and had a good time so I thought I'd check it out again.

I got there around 4 or 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon expecting to find some guys watching sports on the TVs and checking out the ladies. Nope! The parking lot looked pretty deserted and when I walked in I found one bartender, one dancer and one other patron. I really didn't want to jump right back into the car so I grabbed a beer at the bar and found a table (That wasn't too tough!) to watch the dancer. It wasn't long before the other guy left so the lone dancer came over and we chatted for a while. She was friendly enough and while not a great beauty, she was OK so I got a couple of dances. $25 each and she definitely worked hard to earn her money. While she was dancing another girl showed up but she didn't even bother to get on stage but sat the the bar talking to the bartender instead.

The club itself still looked pretty good but with no dancers and no patrons I can't imagine that Michelle's will last too long. Perhaps I just hit them on a slow afternoon but you can be sure that I'll not be stopping there again on my travels through Kansas. Too bad it used to be a fun place to stop and I'll always remember fondly a cute little thing named Alice. Good memories!
