Club Cleo is one of a group of clubs/bars on this road that winds down to the port at the west end of Palma. When I arrived after 10pm, the Cotton Club (which is at the top of the street and has a prominent sign advertising "topless" in English) was apparently open but as abandoned as the Mary Celeste. Club Cleopatra, further down, was open, Club Bali (next door) was closed and the lowest club, Los Angeles, situated under a large hotel, also appeared open. At random, I picked Cleo's. Inside, I faced a bar along the back wall with several very average looking ladies in cocktail dresses sitting on bar stools down its length.

Just one of them caught my attention and helped me decide to stay, a petite, dark-haired stunner called Victoria. A drink for me was 6 Euros and for her (and her time) another 60 Euros.

I took a seat with her in an alcove beside the door and we chatted. Victoria was from Brazil and between her lack of English and my limited Spanish we found we could converse best in German!

Essentially, Club Cleopatra is a hostess club. No action is available at all in the bar but a private room costs 120Euros for 30 minutes. Disappointed by the lower level of mileage here compared to the clubs in Playa, when my time was up and I was asked to buy her another drink, I made my excuses and left.

Cotton Club and Club Bali were still dead and closed respectively so I tried Los Angeles (see review). Dissappointed there, I returned to find Victoria negotiating with another guy. To my relief, he declined whatever was on offer and I moved back in, telling her I wanted to go to the private room.
