I went to this club on a recent Saturday night with a couple friends, maybe a little after 1 AM. We weren't planning on it, but we essentially came here out of necessity because we had a hard time finding a bar that was still open and serving drinks, and didn't have a long line to get in. So there was Browns. There was a crowd hanging outside, but no line. A doorman and at least one woman (maybe a dancer on break?) greet you. My friend who has been to this club before suggested, that when asked, just tell them you have been to this club before. Not sure why, maybe so you don't get a whole speech on how the club works. Anyway, no problem getting in quickly, but the woman outside still shouted, give one pound per dancer and absolutely no touching. It is somewhat of a downer hearing that.

As other people have said, this is really just a bar with an open floor plan (mostly standing room) and a side at one end. The place seemed a bit run down (not terribly) and there was some wierd smell in the air (but quickly got used to it).

No problem getting drinks at the bar (no waiting), and I just drank beer. There was one girl on stage at a time, maybe lasting anywhere from 5-10 minutes and some of their shows were surprisingly entertaining. I didn't bother getting close to the stage since it was crowded there. After the stage show, the dancers eventually come by (sometimes after as much as 20 minutes) with a mug and ask for tip. I wasn't sure if one pound per person was a requirement, but some dancers made it seem like it. A couple dancers would not leave us until she got a pound from each of us. So just to be safe, I got lots of change from the bartender for me and my friends. Also apparently, the girls don't mind giving change. Note, the annoying thing about this place is there are long, sometime awkward breaks in between stage shows. One time, I counted 10 minutes. That is way too long for a bar like this (that is not a lap dance factory). On the flip side, with such long breaks, dancers come by less often asking for tips. They do talk to you a little bit while asking for tips and/or dances, and the hustle is fairly low, but they don't seem to stay long and hang out.
