I pass by this relatively new club on a regular basis. It’s on Dean Martin just south of Russell. It’s a big white and pink building impossible to miss when driving by on Interstate 15 in either direction. This location should keep it busy but there never seems to be a lot of cars in the large parking area. It was Thursday around 8:30 so I decided it was about time I checked the place out.
I flashed a local id at the entrance and was let in without a cover charge. (Tourists who come in a taxi will be gouged $30). Once inside there is a main floor, an upstairs VIP area, a rooftop patio for nice weather and a big gift shop. On the first floor there are two long bars, one at each end of the room. Two stages between the bars are surrounded by chairs at the rail, then tables and then along the sides two rows of comfortable booths. The second row of booths is raised a little higher and has curtains that can be drawn for more private dances. It looks like you can see most of the second floor show from the first floor and vice versa. At this time of night all the action was confined to the first level.
There were about 25 customers and around eight or ten dancers. There was only one stage going so I sat at a nearby table, ordered a scotch ($8 or $9 I think) and watched the stage show. There didn’t seem to be a lot of pressure for lap dances. I didn’t get one nor did I see any going on. Probably after 11:00 o’clock things would pick up. Las Vegas is a late starting town. I have to say that the girls here were on the disappointing side which is too bad because the club is one of the nicest in town. I will try it again on a Friday night at midnight and hope it is better but Mr. Flynt needs to work on getting some better talent to match the upscale environment.
