Like Rell says in the next review, it's diamonds in the rough that make Mustangs worth a visit. I've had a half-dozen unremarkable visits lately, but last week I found a diamond.

But first, a comment about that second stage. Must be the "build it and they will come" mentality. Over the last few years I've seen fewer and fewer patrons and more and more dancers. Now, with a second stage, there are even more dancers. And last week when I visited only three patrons. They've also pulled out the booths along the wall closest to the door, making that whole wall the wall dance area, and blocking off the little corner where those dances used to take place. Wandering hands are more visible from the bar now.

The diamond last week is named Sassy. She claimed it was her second night ever dancing, and her technique on the wall showed. But she brought spunk and sexiness to the dance that the old, jaded dancers (like Persuasion, who really ought to find a new line of work) no longer have.
