The Silver Bullet is smaller strip club in a residential area of Urbana that I’d describe as a neighborhood bar with strippers. Cover is $5 and waived for active military and public safety personnel. It gets crowded most nights to the point where it is standing room only and hard to move around. Taking the small size of the bar into account explains why all the seats inside this place are bar stools. There is just not enough room for chairs. Operating hours are short: 8pm-1am Monday through Thursday, 8pm-2am Friday and Saturday. The strippers don’t come out till around 9pm. Drinks are cheap—not usual strip club prices, but regular bar prices. They don’t have anything on tap, so beers are only in bottles. The liquor selection is limited (not what I’d call a full bar), but for the reasonable prices, you can’t complain. The music selection here is a strong point; it is modern hard rock (Crossfade, Disturbed, Three Days Grace), with an occasional classic rock song thrown in. Absolutely no hip hop here and that keeps thug factor down to a minimum. The DJ keeps his mouth shut except for announcing the dancers. The bathroom is alright. It is fairly clean at the beginning of the night but gets dirtier as the one urinal and one stall see heavy use.

The stage is about six inches higher than the floor and is a long rectangle that stretches right down the middle of the bar. There is a pole at the far end in front of the DJ booth. Only a few select girls can do crazy polework. There is no VIP here. The only option is a $10 private dance on a bar stool. I don’t think you could really call these lap dances; the dancer makes you slide to the edge of the stool and grinds on you while she is standing. The dances are done along a U-shaped corridor behind the booth and are not at all private. Like previous reviewers have said, there is a high probability you will be getting a stool dance within inches to another club patron. It can get that crowded behind the DJ booth. Touching is limited two-way. You can touch the girls, but not the breasts or pussy. Mileage varies by dancer; keep in mind they are limited in what they can do based on the stool/standing format. I’d say the dances are in general a fair value for $10, but not for an amount more than that. The songs are full length, uncut.

The dancers here run the gamut anywhere from a 3 to a 10. There is definitely variety here. Most of the girls are Caucasian, but a few African-American and Hispanic girls work on any given night. I’ve seen girls ranging from anorexic to slightly heavy to bodybuilder. Most tits are real, but you will find a couple girls with bolt-ons. Age range went from eighteen to early thirties, but most looked to be in their twenties. I was able to find girls meeting my criteria for dances. Most girls are willing to talk for awhile before asking for a dance, but a couple are the “wanna dance” hustlers. Some female customers, about 20-22, were next to me when getting stool dances. I got to watch the strippers peel their tops off and expose the young women’s breasts. That was a nice bonus.
