After a lame time at TS...

After a lame time at TS I headed for the Red Parrot. They were having their Tues night special so cover and drinks were cheap. Located east of the city on the Interstate, it was a $20 cab ride from TS. A good sized club, you enter through a long hallway and turn the corner into a large open but somewhat awkward space. There is a “T” stage with three dancers at any given time. VIP is a raised area up about 5 steps overlooking the stage ($20 entry). Bar is on the far side of the room and does not offer a good view of the stage. Music was not obnoxiously loud. Club was well lit with the VIP area being dark. There were friendly/helpful girls working the front desk, no bouncers hovering (that I saw), and while not overly friendly, cocktail waitresses were very efficient and never let me go dry.

Lots of dancers and customers but the place is big enough that it wasn’t crowded. Good looking dancers in the 6-7 range but they seemed to be mostly paired up by the time I arrived and I never got a good count. I managed to reel in a nice non-English speaking girl (Spanish only or limited English is not uncommon in El Paso). She was a very attractive 7+, good conversationalist and quite accommodating when it came to dances. The crowd was a little immature for my taste (best described as guys who only recently discovered the joys of naked women) but if you can find a nice girl to distract you, that is easily overlooked. My overall impression was that this was a high mileage, friendly and very well run club. Except for the lack of full nudity, the RP is a good example of what a strip club should be.
