I read the reviews, decided to finally try this place out. Now, keep in mind I like the clubs with a full bar so I usually don't go to these BYOB joints. Reviews sounded good so... First off, drove through the lot and couldn't find the entrance, looks like a huge warehouse outside. Finally found the door and went in, $15 cover. Cashier is in a booth in a foyer with several doors and half walls, I paid my cover and stood there. No signage to get into the club, looked around, there was a half door to a hallway, locked. Stood there like an idiot and finally asked where I was supposed to go... horrible layout for a newcomer. Walked into a HUGE room, that warehouse look outside, same inside! Huge stage down the middle with 7 poles, really high stage with chairs along each side, a few tables on each side of the room and against the walls. Felt like a big cafeteria or mess hall or something, no warmth, no character at all. Tile floor, no carpet. They do sell beer, so I got a can and found a table, watched for awhile to get the vibe of the place. This is the Walmart of strip clubs, and not in a good way. 18 girls dancing, they each only do one song, fast rotation and they are off the stage looking for privates. Cafeteria style price list, $30 topless private no contact, $40 topless private contact, $50 nude private contact; one song. A little steep I am thinking but what the hell. A tattooed blonde with bejeweled face stops and I'm in. We walk all the way around this huge stage to a private dance area in the back. We walk into a booth and I sit in a leather chair and then the bouncer comes in! WTF? I get a rehearsed monologue of what I can and can't touch right from this dude. Huge turnoff. Dance starts and it's mechanical, just going through the motions to get the $50. She is pretty hot, big fake tits and sweet looking kitty. But no warmth again, just get it done and get out. I return to my table and another gal comes up, cute latina looking gal, seems nice. Let's try that $50 dance again. Same booth, same bouncer monologue (seriously?) she starts dancing. Again, like a robot. I try to touch her nipples, "no pinching!" she snaps. I give her a pat on the ass "No spanking!" she says. Ok, then. Well, to summarize. Not my kind of place, this is a fast food version of strip clubs, looks like a warehouse, pack them in, line them up and pump them though like an assembly line. Everything is cold and fast, just get them in and get them out. The $50 dance for one song is a ripoff. It was horrible and a huge disappointment. I will not return.

Awful. By far the worst experience I have ever had at a strip club. I was in Burlington for the night so I thought I would pop over the river to see whats up. I arrived just before midnight on a Thursday, cute chick sitting on the bench out front, I thought I was in for a good time. Negative. Walked in to the smell of piss/urinal cake. Entire bar smelled like a poorly kept bathroom. Two guy shooting pool, two girls sitting at the bar, both on the heavy side, one more than the other, not my thing. Nobody on stage, no bartender. Waited for a little bit, no one said a word. Turns out the cute chick out front was the bartender, she came in and made me a drink, $5 for whiskey. Not bad. Still no dancers on stage, the heavier gal fell asleep at the bar, the other one was talking to the guys playing pool. Six people in the whole place, including staff. Couldn't get a dance if wanted one, and I wasn't interested in either of the two so far. Except the bartender... Horrible experience. I should have made the extra 90 minute drive to Davenport to Daisy Dooks. Too bad the bartender wasn't dancing, I would have been all over that, had a couple hundred bucks in my pocket and she was a cutie, tight little body... damn. That's the only saving grace, she was nice to look at, but didn't engage with me in conversation or anything. Skip this one. Head to Davenport or Cedar Rapids.

I was back in Council Bluffs so I thought I would give Lipstix one more try. A couple of older reviews say it can be hit and miss, my last visit was a miss, so was this one. Monday night around 11:30, about 6 dancers that I saw, maybe 25 in the club. Dancers all hung with the regulars again, just like last time. I walked in, sat at the bar for an hour and a half, no dancers approached or even said hi to me. The one saving grace of this place is the staff, the bartender is very nice, engages her customers, great gal. Too bad the dancers don;t notice new people in the bar. Oh well, the selection wasn't the best, maybe 4 AA gals, all a little thick. Two white girls, one had some extra pounds and one tall skinny girl. I probably would have did a dance with the skinny gal, but she just hung out at the bar and ordered drinks. As a bar, it's a decent place to just hang out and have a drink, with half naked women dancing in the background. No pressure whatsoever, and the bartender is nice. As a strip club, it could use some improvement. I'll be in Des Moines tomorrow night, I decided to save my money for that.
