The strange thing here is that I have been to HL and haven't noticed some huge change. It seems like situation normal there. I'm all for discussing alternatives (Christie's is always a worthy visit, IMO) but HL isn't dead.

A lot of this seems to be related to the CE acquisition and liquor licensing. I think the VIP thing is just the bat that is being used to beat them with. I cringe whenever I see any dancer's name used with any extra mileage attached at all. LE's definition of what is kosher is SUPER conservative. Watch what you post. And, I can say with some authority that LE has found its way into all of these online groups, even the ones that people think are safe. So, post with caution.

As I search my memory banks, I may have overstated the "20 years" thing. Floor dances were definitely more in your face, so to speak, 20 years ago. It is more accurate to say it hasn't changed much in 5 years...
