as of last week, they had a temporary ban on smoking. Bartender wasn't sure when it would be lifted. Tried to smoke a cigar and got shot down.

For more detail: parking lot is huge, and set back from the main road with no other establishments in the lot (I think). View from the road is not obstructed, but low chance of identification by passing vehicles - even during the day. Extremely low chance at night.
